Telecom in Morocco is among the first in North Africa.

The Moroccan telecommunications industry is the most attractive in the North Africa region, says Fitch Solutions in a new analysis devoted to the sector. Morocco thus goes from 9th to 7th place in the Middle East and North Africa region with a score of 45.1 and a level of risk considered low. For this reason, Morocco occupies an eminent position in the field of telecommunications in North Africa

The Kingdom is preceded by the Gulf countries (United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and Oman). For Fitch Solutions, the mobile phone market should continue its good momentum “in the medium and long term”, the operators being focused on the development of 4G services and the attraction of postpaid subscribers.

C2M meets the needs of equipment manufacturers and operators to deploy telecom equipment throughout Morocco.

Morocco, Iraq, and Iran saw the biggest improvements in their telecom scores with 2.4, 1.3 and 2.1 points respectively, the study said.
