1 – General description of the satellite internet service

The satellite Internet solution uses the technique of establishing a direct link, via satellite, between the customer’s site and the Internet, regardless of any terrestrial infrastructure thus offering users, both individuals and professionals, a high-performance Internet access and high speed up to 20 Mb / s. The advantages of the solution are numerous, we can quote:

The services available are:

  • JET service

Jet is a family of high-speed satellite Internet services for private customers and small and medium-sized businesses. The service achieves a throughput of 10 Mb / s and offers various data volume formulas to suit different needs and budgets of customers.

  • PRO service

Pro is a family of broadband satellite Internet services for business users. The service achieves a throughput of 20 Mb / s with a minimum guaranteed throughput (CIR) and offers a fixed IP address and a monthly data volume of up to 100 GB.

  • Unlimited Service

Unlimited est une famille de services Internet par satellite à haut débit destinée à une utilisation professionnelle. Le service est illimité en volume.

  • Guaranteed Flow Service

Guaranteed Debit is a professional service offering guaranteed bandwidth and unlimited data exchange.

Satellite Internet service is available throughout Morocco. Customers have access to 24/7 service.

2 – Description of the customer’s equipment

The equipment needed to access the service is as follows: A satellite dish operating in the Ku frequency band and having a diameter of 100 or 120 cm; A BUC “Bloc-Up Converter” signal amplifier with a power of 2 or 3 watts; A reception filter called LNB for “Low-Noise Block Converter”; A VSAT modem with RJ-45 interface;

Optionally, a WiFi router to share the connection in a local network.

3 – Proposed classes of service

Shared band with minimum flow guarantee CIR. The minimum bandwidth shared service (CIR) classes offered by Nortis are as follows:

The characteristics of the JET service:

  • Jet 2: 10 Mb / s download max / 1 Mb / s max upload (best effort) € “1 private IP address – 2 GB of data volume (sent and received) per month.
  • Jet 10: 10 Mb / s download max / 1 Mb / s upload max (best effort) € “1 private IP address – 10 GB of data volume (issued and received) per month.
  • Jet 20: 10 Mb / s download max / 1 Mb / s upload max (best effort) € “1 private IP address – 20 GB of data volume (emitted and received) per month. Unlimited night from 0h to 7h.
  • Jet 30: 10 Mb / s download max / 1 Mb / s max upload (best effort) € “1 private IP address – 30 GB of data volume (issued and received) per month. Unlimited night from 0h to 7h.
  • Jet 50: 10 Mb / s download max / 1 Mb / s upload max (best effort) € “1 private IP address – 50 GB of data volume (issued and received) per month. Unlimited night from 0h to 7h.

Unlimited at night from 0h to 7h: During this time slot, the volume of data exchange is unlimited and not deducted from the monthly quota.

  • Pro 2: 2 Mb / s download max / 2 Mb / s max upload (best effort) € “1 public IP address – 2 GB of data volume (sent and received) per month.
  • Pro 25: 20 Mb / s download max / 2 Mb / s max upload (best effort) € “1 public IP address – 25 GB of data volume (sent and received) per month.
  • Pro 50: 20 Mb / s download max / 2 Mb / s max upload (CIR download 128 Kb / s upload 64 Kb / s) – 1 public IP address – 50 GB of data volume (emitted and received) per month.
  • Pro 75: 20 Mb / s download max / 2 Mb / s max upload (CIR download 256 Kb / s upload 64 Kb / s) – 1 public IP address – 75 GB of data volume (sent and received) per month.
  • Pro 100: 20 Mb / s max download / 2 Mb / s max upload (CIRdownload 256 Kb / s upload 128 Kb / s) – 1 public IP address – 100 GB of data volume (sent and received) per month.

The characteristics of the UNLIMITED service:

Discovery: 512 Kb / s download max / 128 Kb / s max upload (1: 30) € “1 public IP address €” unlimited volume

Coliseum: 1 Mb / s download max / 512 Kb / s max upload (1:50) € “1 public IP address €” unlimited volume.

Platinum: 2 Mb / s download max / 1 Mb / s max upload (1:50) – 1 public IP address € “unlimited volume.

100% guaranteed bandwidth

The guaranteed speed satellite Internet offer is a professional offer that offers high-performance Internet access with guaranteed throughput. The service also makes it possible to integrate several sites in the same bandwidth that will be shared only between these sites. The allocated bandwidth is fully guaranteed and the service is unlimited in the volume of data sent and received. The download and download speeds can be separately sized and customized, depending on the customer’s needs example: 3 Mbps download / 256 Kbps upload € 2 Mbps upload / 512 Kbps download, etc. Static IP addresses are provided with the service.

1 – Nortis Service Guarantees

Link availability 99.5% – Control and supervision of the 24/7 connection – Technical helpdesk service (telephone support) – For subscribed services with PREMIUM option

  • the Nortis Operations Center provides the customer with a 24/7 Technical Helpdesk (hotline), a 24/7 technical service, replacement or repair of any defective equipment ( in the event of a finding of use of the equipment in conditions that do not comply with the technical or operating instructions, the costs of repair or replacement will be borne by the customer)
  • The On-Site Link (GTR) recovery time is 8 business hours for Jet and Pro services and 12 hours for Unlimited service from the date of notification of the incident, provided the customer has enabled Nortis access to equipment.

2 – Equipment Guarantee (excluding PREMIUM option)

The warranty on installed equipment for the Jet, Pro, Unlimited and Guaranteed Debit services, excluding the PREMIUM option, is one year against any defect or defect in construction or material. This guarantee is limited in all cases and without any exception to the replacement or repair of parts recognized as defective by our technical department, after noting the use of the equipment under conditions that comply with the technical or operating instructions.
